I’ve Been Obsessing Over Fire Emblem: Fates!

Seriously, I squeal every time I see a new Fire Emblem Fates trailer. (Okay… it didn’t even need to be new…) I really wish I was exaggerating how excited I am, because I’ve embarrassed myself several times with my enthusiasm. I’ve been anticipating this game all year. Today is the day I will have my wish!

I actually prepared for this moment a while ago when I realized there were two (actually THREE including the DLC) games. I decided to buy Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and my significant other bought Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. Each game takes you through a similar story, but with different versions. So once I finish Birthright I’ll switch over to Conquest.

Both versions have the same game play as the previous Fire Emblem: Awakening. You can create your own avatar and fight with other NPCs creating bonds and relationships. Not only that, but there are many ways to mold each character to fight the way you want to. The replay value I am hoping is just as amazing as Awakening. Check out the Fire Emblem Fates Wikipedia Page for more details!

This game has been out in Japan since June 25, 2015 and is called Fire Emblem If.

I jumped on the chance to just get Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. as soon as possible, so I didn’t even bother looking for the Fire Emblem Fates – Special Edition – Nintendo 3DS.

I totally regret not preordering the Special Edition! This one features the Revelation path, included exclusively in this special edition. I would love to have the 80 page art book with previously unreleased sketches, concept drawings, and more. I also want the carrying case!!

If you’ve never played the Fire Emblem games before, I really recommend it for people who enjoy tactics games and long epic stories. They are really amazing and I wish I started earlier. What do you guys think? Any other fans out there? Let’s chit chat!
